![]() It would certainly be easier to use filebeat when just getting startedĪnother issue is that you must run logstash on each application instance plus the ones you need for ingestion into elasticsearch. The json-file supported by file beat would work out of the box here. One big downside: you cannot use docker logs for quick inspection anymore because aws doesn't offer dual logger output. Major downsite: There is a race-condition with this approach where you will lose the initial logs from containers that start before the logstash container. And then push the logs to s3 via logstash output. The only alternative is rather complicated - you have to configure the aws ECS agent to support gelf logging and then use gelf logging to logstash. History: Amelie was born to a litter of six, but by the time she was two seasons old, she and her brother were the only ones still alive. Her mother's lack of food had shortened the supply of milk and was the cause of death for most of A-lee's siblings. When Amelie and her brother were four seasons old, their mother took the liberty to go hunting along with their father, and were left to be looked after by their uncle. ![]() After hours of playing, A-lee's uncle began to get very agitated and irritable, something that had never happened before. Suddenly he began to foam at the mouth and lunged at Amelie's brother, killing him almost instantly in the grip of his fangs. Just before Amelie was next, her father came and attacked his own brother, tearing open his throat. As her mother joined the scene, Amelie caught the site of her father's bleeding shoulder. Knowing the same fate of his brother would happen to him, A-lee's father fled, leaving her and her mother to fend for themselves. Not long after, Amelie's mother died of starvation brought on by depression and heartbreak. Only being a year old, Amelie wandered alone until she came across a tiny village, one that was not protected by a dome. It was surrounded by a small forest and was plentiful of vegetation. A family of a mother, father, and son soon welcomed her in and cared for her as a favorite pet. Many years went by with her living with the family. They loved and cared for her like a family would. She loved them as if they were her own Pack mates, even going as far as thinking of the wife and husband as her mother and father, and the boy as her own brother. She even began to forget what being a wolf was like, but one day that changed. As she was walking through town, Amelie caught the scent of an old, yet familiar, smell. Soon enough, she sought out the wolf, who she was surprised to find was disguised a human. The "human" smirked at her, and transformed into his true-self. He mocked her and called her a pet, but told her of the story of Paradise, and how wolves could transform to blend in with the humans. He told her she should ditch the humans and find something worth living for. Of course Amelie disliked him immediately after he told her that, but the story of Paradise stuck in her head, and even after he left she could not get the lunar flowers out of her head. No screams could be heard except for her own yelps of pain as the burning in her back set into incredible pain. Ignoring the burning as best as she could, A-lee rushed into her family's rooms, only to find each one scorched in fire. With nothing else keeping her there, Amelie got out of the house while she could. She crawled away from her burning home to find a group of men outside, laughing and grinning at the mess they had made. Among those men, was the wolf Amelie met the day before. He looked a little pained, but something told her he knew what he was doing, and that was the first time she had ever experienced hate. From where she layed, she could not be seen by the men. Long after the house had burned to the ground the men had left, and Amelie slowly began to transform into a human. The process and concentration took up the last bit of her strength, and soon after she faded into unconsciousness. It was a week later that she finally opened her eyes. She found herself in a tiny room lit by candle light. A-lee sat up in bed only to be brought back down by the pain in her back. She heard chuckling and spotted the wolf from earlier. Hatred and fear came over her, and even in her human form did she let out a fierce growl. "You burn down my home, my family, what else do you want from me?!" Amelie shouted at him. "I want to give you a second chance a life, thats all," he chuckled again. He then stood up and walked out of the room. ![]() That was.random, Amelie thought before setting up in the bed weakly.
